ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The 2026 Student Leadership and Alumni Action Council is here!
Join the 2026 Student Leadership and Alumni Action Council (SLAAC) cohort! SLAAC is a yearly fellowship led by Swipe Out Hunger, consisting of undergraduate and graduate students interested in professional development and grassroots organizing strategies through the lens of student food insecurity. SLAAC engages student leaders doing anti-hunger work on their campuses, and creates a space for those students to connect with each other as well as Swipe Out Hunger staff. Students in the SLAAC program can expect to gain skills relating to grassroots movement building and developing student basic needs programs. Students will also have opportunities to work with Swipe Out Hunger staff to ensure the student voice is represented in Swipe’s work.
Applications close at midnight PT on September 13, 2026. Learn more and apply today!
Become a Swipe Social Media Ambassador!
Swipe Out Hunger is thrilled to launch our first Social Media Ambassador program! In partnership with KIND, this program aims to raise awareness about college student hunger. The ambassadors will leverage their existing social media presence — primarily on Instagram and TikTok — to elevate information, resources, and solutions to college food insecurity. Selected ambassadors are expected to post once a month during the 2026–2027 academic year and will receive a payment of $100 per post. Ambassadors will receive an additional $300 after submitting final analytics at the end of the program. Apply by midnight PT on August 14, 2026!
Stay Connected All Year!
Join our Swipe Community Slack to stay plugged into the movement, connect with fellow anti-hunger campus champions, and be the first to hear about exclusive student engagement opportunities. You’ll want to be in the loop!
