Student Leader Spotlight: Alondra Cardenas Salazar
Swipe Out Hunger is privileged to work alongside hundreds of student leaders, working to end college hunger on their campuses. We sat down with one of our student leaders from University of California, Santa Cruz to learn more about what inspires her to continue the fight against student hunger.
We know the difference it makes when a student is sitting at the table in developing anti-hunger programs on campus– and Alondra is evidence of that. Alondra was one of the first students on the forefront of the Swipe Out Hunger program at UCSC. When she first joined, their Swipe Drive collected triple the amount of donated swipes than previous drives.
Alondra is not only an amazing advocate for anti-hunger in higher education today, but an incredible role model in her community. Thank you, Alondra, for your dedicated leadership!
