Supporting Accessible & Healthy Meals for Students with Plug-In Pot™
We’re making cooking on and off campus easier while working to end student hunger! In an exciting partnership with Plug-in Pot™ — the viral electric hot pot that effortlessly supports students with making healthy choices while saving time and money — 10% of sales will be donated to Swipe Out Hunger, and our campus network will receive a discount on Plug-in Pot™ purchases (campuses can access Plug-in Pot™’s discount code on The Feed here.)
Plug-in Pot’s™ mission is to be a helpful resource for college students to make delicious and healthy meals with ease. College students can face many roadblocks to cook or reheat healthy food options on campus, whether it’s limited space in their dorms, no stove, limited dining hall hours, lack of healthy meal options, or just the lengthy time to cook in between their busy schedule. In a recent survey of our campus network, 95% of our partners operate a campus food pantry and many offer crucial services such as cooking classes and appliance lending programs in order to meet students’ needs.
Students can greatly benefit from accessible kitchen tools like the Plug-in Pot™ so they can have the nutrition, energy, mental clarity, and overall well-being to thrive towards their education goals. Plug-in Pot™ also offers helpful resources to educate and empower students on cooking healthy and affordable meals.
