Meet Swipe Out Hunger’s 2024-2025 Leadership Council
Swipe Out Hunger is proud to announce the second cohort of its Leadership Council, a collective of food security leaders from across the country who are committed to addressing student hunger on their campuses and beyond. This year’s council brings together a diverse group of professionals, representing a wide range of institutions, states, and backgrounds. Together, they will share their expertise, support innovative solutions, and shape the future of campus food security. Their insights will be pivotal in advancing Swipe’s mission and expanding the reach of our work across higher education.
The Leadership Council serves as a platform to build community among campus leaders, provide critical guidance to Swipe’s work, and contribute to broader conversations that advance food and basic needs security on a national scale. The work of this year’s council is rooted in the organization’s three core pillars:
- Championing Solutions: Amplifying campus-tested, student-driven initiatives that address basic needs insecurity.
- Building an Active Network: Connecting students, higher education institutions, corporations, and policymakers to drive collaboration and change.
- Evolving the Narrative: Shifting cultural perceptions of food insecurity to influence decision-makers at the campus, state, and federal levels.
Council members will align their personal passions and campus initiatives with these pillars, helping to surface effective strategies, strengthen organizational efforts, and amplify the voices of students and leaders addressing hunger in higher education.
Thank you to these 15 leaders for their dedication to ending college student hunger and collaborating with colleagues across the country:
