May is CalFresh Awareness Month! California’s food access program helps college students across the state make ends meet. Swipe Out Hunger is partnered with L.A. County’s Department of Public Social Services in encouraging students to access local food assistance programs. ⁠

Welcome to the team, Jack! 🤩⁠

Joining as Swipe's new Resource & Grants Coordinator, Jack Flukinger brings years of experience in general non-profit program management. Before joining Swipe Out Hunger, he created and facilitated a free food delivery program for participants who are unable to travel to visit in-person food distribution sites, and managed staff and volunteers for a food program serving the LGBTQ+ community.⁠

When not at work, you can find him spoiling his pet cat Pluto, finding a new artistic medium to experiment in, or searching for the perfect weekday dinner recipe!
